What is Summer Funk?

Summer Funk™ is SHIAMAK's unique platform for dance enthusiasts to learn various styles, perform on stage in front of a live audience and experience the thrill of being a star! The knowledge-based facets of this program include introduction to global dance styles, ability to use properties and dance in groups, creating and designing costumes, understanding stage performance technique, building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and professionalism.

Who can join Summer Funk?

Open to ages four to eighty-four, this all-inclusive program is a wholesome performing arts experience where everyone is invited. "Have Feet. Will Dance.", the academy's motto stems from their theory of inclusivity. All ages and abilities welcome.

Do I need any prior dance experience?

No dance experience required. Whether you are a novice or an experienced dancer, you will enjoy SHIAMAK Dance Classes.

How much are the fees?

How many classes do we get?

10 classes leading up to the final Summer Funk show.

Are costumes included in the class fees?

No. Costumes are charged separately. Instructors advise on costume design for the performance. Participants are required to coordinate and arrange their own costumes.

How many students in each batch?

Number of students in a class depends on the studio capacity. Each class may have approximately 15 to 25 participants.
