Mia Dhaliwal

Mia's favourite dance styles are contemporary and jazz. She joined SHIAMAK Vancouver in 2010 as a student when she was just five years old and has been part of the SHIAMAK family ever since.

In 2023, Mia started her training to become a dance instructor at SHIAMAK and learned the finer nuances of teaching dance. Besides Shiamak's trademark Bollywood Jazz style, she has also trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and tap at other studios.

With the SHIAMAK Vancouver Dance Company, Mia has performed at several corporate and community events including the Drishti Awards, Times of Canada Awards Gala, Darpan Awards, Namaste Canada and many more. She also performed with the Shiamak Davar Dance Company from India at the World Hero's Challenge in the Bahamas and as a backup dancer for Diljit Dosanjh at his Vancouver show in 2025.

Besides dance, Mia enjoys playing field hockey, hiking, baking, and working out. Mia is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology and hopes to one day support children and adolescents in the mental health field.
