Aleysha Karmali

Aleysha's dance career has taken her across the Lower Mainland. From hosting class venues, teaching week-long Bollywood dance workshops in schools to students from kindergarten through Grade 12, private training classes, and community events, she has worked in Coquitlam, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, and various parts of Vancouver.

Her many years of dance teaching and performance experience include Spring Funks, Winter Funks, Summer Funks, and special productions such as Stars of Bollywood, Confidance, Saffron, Bollywood Divas, Spirit of India, and Spirit of Bollywood.

Aleysha has performed at several large-scale events ranging from the BC Lions halftime show and Bollywood showcases with stars like Johny Lever and Mika Singh, to appearances before dignitaries including the Premier of BC and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Canadian visits and fundraising galas.

Aleysha has also volunteered with SHIAMAK's Victory Arts Foundation spreading joy through the Dance for Good program and has cherished memories with participants from the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, Disability Development Association, North Shore Connexions Society, and from putting together a flash mob in support of the Ronald McDonald House.
